The Adopt-A-Book program allows you to honor a special person or commemorate a special event with a gift that will be opened again and again. Your Adopt-A-Book donation of $25.00 adds a new book or a new DVD to the branch of the Merced County Library that you select. A $50 donation buys two books or two DVDs for that branch.

The books or DVDs purchased with your donation bear an Adopt-A-Book bookplate with an inscription acknowledging the person or event. If desired, the Friends will also inform the person recognized, or his/her family, of your Adopt-A-Book donation.

To order, download the Adopt-A-Book form, and fill in the information requested. Make your check out to Friends of the Merced County Library. Please send the completed form and your check to:

Adopt-A-Book orders are filled and sent to the designated branch libraries on a quarterly basis. The Friends’ newsletters, printed three times a year, recognize Adopt-A-Book honorees and donors. If you have questions about the program, contact us.
